I now require a consultation prior to your first session. It's a great opportunity to discuss the look you want to achieve, any health concerns, and for me to look at your skin up close. If you have had any previous microblading or permanent makeup work done elsewhere on the area you want me to work on, I will need to determine if the area can be treated. Consultations are $25, and the price gets applied to the total cost of your microblading service should you choose to book.
If you are traveling from far away and would like to arrange a consultation via Facetime, we can do that as well! Email info@gobare.us to arrange a date and time.
Please check out my portfolio (Instagram) for my most recent work! Every artist has a different style, so make sure you like what you see before you visit.
Please read everything here in case you have any questions!
A $100 non-refundable deposit will be taken at time of booking to hold your spot. If you show up and have not followed the pre-procedure advice, we will not be able to perform your service. Please read through all of the before and aftercare thoroughly.
If you have any allergy concerns regarding our numbing cream (lidocaine, benzocaine, and tetracaine blend could be used) or pigments being used, you will need a patch test prior to booking.
(You will sign a patch test waiver if you do not have any concerns)
Things to review and consider before booking:
MICROBLADING PRE PROCEDURE ADVICE
Microblading procedure normally requires multiple treatment sessions. For best results, clients will be required to return for at least one follow-up appointment a.k.a "perfecting session". This will take place between 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure or as recommended by your artist.
****PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE WILL BE A $75 CHARGE IF A CLIENT HAS TO BE RESCHEDULED FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE ABOVE PROTOCOL****
Topical anesthetic advice
Allergic reaction: can occur from any anesthetics using during procedure. If you do suffer from an allergic reaction, you should contact your doctor immediately. Allergic reaction response may show through redness, swelling, rash, blistering, dryness or any other symptoms associated with an allergic
reaction.
Numbness: We cannot accept responsibility if the area to be treated does not respond to the numbing cream. Each individual is different according to skin type. Some clients report the area to be completely numb, while others may experience some discomfort.
Procedure: For microblading procedure a numbing cream/gel is used. The products are formulated to be perfectly safe and can be purchased over the counter from any pharmacy/ chemist. The anesthetic is placed over the treatment area for 20-30 minutes then carefully removed prior to treatment. As a result of the treatment, combined with the use of the anesthetic you can expect to experience some redness/ swelling that can last 1 - 4 days. You should always follow your post procedure advice/ after care for the best results. Post procedure protocols will be discussed during consultations and the day of you treatment.
Swelling and redness around the brows are very normal. However, if you are excessively swollen with one or both eyes very puffy and unable to open, or redness that does not subside by about day 4, contact the studio and go to urgent care to make sure you aren't having an allergic reaction or possible infection. The sooner you are seen and treated, long-term problems can be avoided. Your brows can still heal properly. This occurrence is very rare but can happen.
*If you have a liquid Band-Aid applied at the end of your appointment: Gently wash your brows 3 days after your appointment with a gentle cleanser, lukewarm water, and a clean q-tip. Gently pat them dry with a clean tissue and leave them alone until 1 week following your procedure.
*(If water gets onto your brows when showering, gently pat dry with a clean tissue after, but do not get your brows soaked, or allow the shower water to directly flow onto the brows.)
Starting 7 days after your procedure, gently wash your brows DAILY in the same manner as day 3 until your next appointment,
*If you have Balm applied at the end of your appointment:
POWDER BROWS
Gently Pat dry with a clean tissue as needed for the first day of your procedure. Keep completely dry for 7 days. On the 8th day, start to gently cleans daily with a gentle cleanser and Q-tip with lukewarm water. Your brows will heal very quickly-approximately 2 weeks time.
MICROBLADED BROWS:
Gently wash with a clean q-tip, lukewarm water, and the cleanser provided. Gently pat dry with a tissue once the soap has been rinsed off with another q-tip with water.
*If you have microbladed hair strokes or hair strokes and shading: Your aftercare balm or oil can be used starting on day 7 AS NEEDED. If you are feeling tight, dry, flaky, or itchy, you can use the balm throughout the day to help with the side effects of the healing process. If your brows feel fine after cleansing, leave them alone.
*If you have a Powder Brow (no hair strokes, just shading): You may start to use a small amount of balm, about the size of a grain of rice, up to twice a day, starting the day after your procedure if they feel tight or dry. Be sure to apply with clean fingers or a clean Q-tip/lint-free applicator.
*Avoid all skincare products within 1" of the brow, and no retinol or glycolic acid on the forehead at all until healed.
*Avoid excessive sweating and dirt for 10 days following your procedure to avoid an infection.
*Wear a large hat or sunglasses to protect the ink during the healing process.
*DO NOT apply makeup or sunless tanner to the healing brows for 4 full weeks! If your brows become itchy, you may tap on them with clean fingers. Avoid touching your brows with unwashed hands, and DO NOT PICK at any flakes or dry skin. It will naturally fleck off gently during cleansing.
*Avoid submerging your face in the pool or ocean, and avoid saunas or hot steamy showers while healing.
*Sunscreen can be used once fully healed and is encouraged to prolong the inks longevity,
*Please notify your technician if you are having an MRI that you have permanent makeup.
*Avoid any laser or IPL treatments anywhere on or near the ink as this could cause a major burn or pigment loss.
*Wait 1 year after your tattoo to donate blood as per Red Cross policy.

Care for your eyebrows is extremely important to ensure they heal properly.
Stages of Healing and Instructions:
2 Hours: Any redness or irritation will decrease.
Day 1-3: Avoid sweating and all water contact on new eyebrows.
Day 2-3: Brows will appear slightly darker than on the first day.
Day 4-10: With a Q-tip, apply a paper-thin layer of the provided Vitamin A & D ointment (Balm) every 3 to 4 hours.
Day 5: These are NOT the true results of the eyebrow tattooing as the pigment has not yet peeled completely. Once the skin starts healing or flaking the color will fade considerably, as it heals beneath the skin.
Day 10: The color may appear very light, as your skin is resurfacing. The color will reappear slowly.
Day 14: Eyebrows are nearly fully healed.
6-8 Weeks: The final color will be apparent, and eyebrows should be fully healed.DO NOT pick, peel, or scratch as this could cause scarring or removal of color.DO NOT touch the affected area except for applying Vitamin A & D ointment.DO NOT be alarmed if it appears that most of the color is flaking off–This is normal healing.
Avoid For 14 Days While Healing:
•Tanning•Swimming, saunas, Jacuzzi •Hot tubs, steam showers, long baths•Facials & massages •Working out •Sweating•Not cleaning your face regularly •Being around bacteria •Wearing makeup •Soaps, creams •Skin peels or products containing Retinol•Touching eyebrows or sleeping on face The sun can cause pigment to fade. Always apply sun block onpigmented area.
Moderate swelling is very normal directly after having lips done. A clean cold compress can be applied for the first few hours following the procedure and the next morning if needed. You may also need to blot your lips with a clean tissue for the first few hours following the procedure to remove any clear lymph that comes to the surface. Icing and blotting will help to cut down on potential scabbing. If you are sore from the procedure, you may take ibuprofen.
Use the gentle cleanser provided the first night of the procedure to gently cleanse lips and follow with the balm provided or Aquaphor. Keep the lips as hydrated as possible. Aquaphor or a provided balm should be applied as often as desired.
ATTENTION: Depending on your desired lip color goals, you may need more than the 2 sessions included in my pricing. Lips can only absorb and retain a small amount of ink each session due to the nature of lip skin.
*The color will feel too bright during the beginning of the healing process, and your lips will feel very tight and dry. The color will then fade quite a bit, and settle down very quickly. Just hydrate, keep them clean, and let them heal.
*Avoid teeth bleaching for a minimum of 3 weeks.
*Drink through a straw to keep the lips clean.
*Avoid Hot Liquids/drinks and spicy foods during healing.
*Avoid all lipsticks and glosses.
*Avoid all soaps- wash around the lips
*If you have a history of sores or fever blisters, ( EVEN ONE!) , on the lips, chin, or nose, you will require a script of 500mg Valtrex. Take 2x a day, 2 days before tattoo and 4 days after or as otherwise prescribed.
*Always call with any questions or concerns, 508-799-8833
This process is most successful within the first 24 hours of ink being placed into the skin, a.k.a. emergency removal. Typically, 75% or more of the ink can be removed or lightened if you come in soon enough after deciding the microblading or powder brow you recieved needs to be removed or lightened. Beyond that time frame, multiple sessions will be needed to lighten the ink. Schedule a consultation at your cpnvenience to see if this lightening technique will be right for your needs.
No eyebrow hair growth serums. Electrolysis and laser hair removal should not be done. Do not get a chemical peel or laser skin treatment.
Do not get Botox or injections.
No sun or tanning before the procedure.
Do not tweeze, wax, or dye brows before the procedure. Do not use harsh products, retinoids, and acids around your eyebrows.
Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, or vitamin E unless medically necessary.
Do not drink alcohol, take caffeine, and avoid sweating on the day of the procedure.
