 Laser hair removal may not be suitable if you have any of the following:

• Active infections, rashes, or open wounds in the treatment area
   
• History of keloid scarring
   
• Any sunburns on the area to be treated
   
• Use of sunless tanner on the area to be treated
   
• Pregnancy
   
• Active cold sores on the area to be treated
   
• Certain skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis in the area)
   
• Recent chemical peels, microneedling, or laser treatments on the same area (within 2 weeks)
   
• Antibiotic use within 14 days of treatment
   
• Use of photosensitizing medications (e.g., Accutane, certain antibiotics, or other drugs that increase light sensitivity)
   
• Metal implants or pacemakers near the treatment site (for certain devices)
   
• History of skin cancer in the treatment area
   

 To get the best results and ensure your safety, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:

• Shave the treatment area (if larger than the palm of your hand) the day of or the night before your session.
   
• Do not apply lotions, creams, perfumes, or deodorants on the area to be treated.
   
• Avoid sunburns and excessive sun exposure on the treatment area before your appointment.
   
• No sunless tanner on the treatment area prior to treatment.
   
• Let your provider know about any new medications or changes in your health since your last visit.
